Why Every Business Needs a Website, No Matter the Industry

We hear a version of "we don't really need a website, we're fine on Instagram" from businesses in almost every industry, salons, coaches, contractors, retail shops. Some of them are genuinely doing fine without one. Most are leaving something on the table without realizing it.

A website is the only thing you fully control

Instagram can change its algorithm overnight and bury your posts. An account can get flagged or locked for no clear reason. A website doesn't have an algorithm deciding who sees it, and nobody can take it away from you. It's the one piece of your business online that answers to you and no one else.

It works even when you're not replying to DMs

A social profile only works while someone's behind it, answering messages, confirming availability, sending prices. A website does that automatically, at 11pm on a Sunday, for someone who found you through a Google search and doesn't want to wait for a reply to figure out if you're even open.

People check before they trust, in every industry

Even for a local salon or a one-person coaching practice, most people quietly check before they commit, hours, reviews, photos, whether the business looks real and current. A page that hasn't been updated in a year, or doesn't exist at all, is a small but real reason someone picks a competitor instead.

Even the industries that feel "too simple" for one still need it

A retail shop that only sells in person still benefits from a page showing what's in stock and where to find them. A contractor who gets all their work from referrals still needs somewhere to send a new lead to see past work. The businesses that assume they're the exception are usually the ones a website would help most.

Why we build ours by hand instead of off a template

Most website builders and cheap templates end up looking like a dozen other sites in the same industry. We build with custom code because it loads faster, looks distinct, and can actually be shaped around how your specific business works instead of forcing your business into a generic layout.
